Characteristics of Ball Valves

They are characterized by housing inside a sphere with a transverse hole through which the flow of fluids is regulated.

At the moment the valve is closed, the perforation is perpendicular to the inlet and outlet. However, when the valve is open, an alignment between the inlet and outlet is produced, passing the fluid through the obturator. The total closing and opening is in a quarter turn.

To easily distinguish the position of the valve, a crank is used. They can be operated manually or automatically, and can have a one-piece, two-piece or three-piece body.

The ball valve is one of the most widely used valves on the market due to its great versatility, for ON-OFF use, with different construction characteristics and materials. At ABAC we have Ball Valves with 2 and 3 bodies for general applications and with 2 and 3 ways to withstand high pressures.
